Spring Awakening Workshop.
Sunday 5th May 2024 | Belmont House, Stockport, SK4 1TG
The move to Spring provides us with a time to really shake off the sluggishness of winter and look forward to warm, light, bright summer days. Spring is nature’s new year, providing us with a sense of optimism, hope and new beginnings.
It is the perfect time for us to explore a range of holistic yoga practices to re-energise our minds and bodies to leave us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

The half day will combine deep breathwork using pranayama techniques to allow us to connect deeply with our breath, allowing us to spring-clean our lungs. We will work on some gentle but rejuvenating yoga movements to help to revive and strengthen our bodies.
After a break where nourishing snacks will be provided, we will explore some traditional yoga chants, which are a lovely way to connect together, and bring energy to improve focus and concentration.

We will end with a guided meditation using ancient practice Yoga Nidra to allow us to find a deep relaxation, resting the body and calming the mind. This practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium.

Quote for the day...
“Change is not something that we should fear. Rather, it is something that we should welcome. For without change, nothing in this world would ever grow or blossom, and no one in this world would ever move forward to become the person they’re meant to be.” BKS Iyengar
